Posted at 22:20h, 23 SeptemberWow- I'm a rising senior at Williams College, a highly competitive college, and lot of these suggestions sound TERRRRIBLEEE. If you're a high school student do something that you're interested in. If you're into taking college classes in your free time (I definitely wasnt) then do it but it can mean a lot more for your college application to invest your time into something that you love. Don't let this process turn you into a robot. You still need to enjoy life and be happy.

Posted at 22:20h, 23 SeptemberHi 👋 I’m an international student from Turkey! Last summer, I am at 11th grade right now, I became the first in a national science competition and besides a huge cash price and meeting professors who helped me after on my projects, I got a full ride for a college summer program. I participated in the whole course except for the last two days because months ago my family had planned a holiday to Greece and everything was paid. Even though I’ve been there for nearly a month, the university didn’t accept to give me a certificate. Should I provide images with my friends etc. from there or is it okay to say I participated there without giving any photos or certificates?

Posted at 22:20h, 23 SeptemberI got a 1570 composite sat (790 RW 780 Math). I am a 2nd semester junior. Is it worth it to take the act? I’m aiming for some of the more selective colleges and I know a lot of applicants take both tests. I haven’t done any practice and I doubt I could do much better on the act.

Posted at 22:20h, 23 SeptemberIdea number 6 is a get a job? And only if your family needs you to help and support? What the actual hell are you suggesting to these kids? Colleges want to see that you're well rounded, that you have actual life experiences. The top four things you suggest are to spend your summer in school? This is a joke.
