As someone who lives in Canada; getting into a Canadian history is not as hard as an American one. However, Canadian universities have a higher standard for good grades, which means that if you want to get an A in a Canadian university, most professors expect you to work very hard at it, otherwise they will, at best give you an average mark.

It is much harder to get into an American university, let alone, affording a decent one, however, once you get in, it is much easier to get a high mark in an American university than a Canadian one, because American professors are usually not as strict.
