01 Apr A Eyesight of Japanese College Learners Currently

Produced by Marcus Grandon in collaboration with the pupils from his World Problems training course in December 2011 as class challenge, this limited movie summarizes attitudes and beliefs of pupils at a significant college in Japan. The challenge was motivated by Michael Wesch’s “A Eyesight of Learners Currently” . Contact: marcusgrandon@yahoo.com

Here is the initial document established in google docs by the pupils. About sixty questions have been composed initially in English and posted
on the internet. Learners then voted on which kinds to keep as finals, and translated them into Japanese to give to their peers. The questions have been established by pupils for pupils.

I did 2 years at community college and I still will graduate out of a 4 year school with more than 24,000 dollars in debt. I work 20+ hours a week at a part time job and make 500 – 600 dollars. Screw this im going to japan…

This is not a vision of Japanese students. This is a vision of someone who has a hobby of making pointless, boring YouTube videos. It's melodramatic baloney that is supposed to give the impression that it is saying something deep and revealing, but it's shallow and predictable.

How do you average around 11 hours of work a week and sill make around $700 a month. I work 30 and just barely get $800.

Is this a vision of Japanese University students today?  Really?  Expressionless, voiceless.  Writing statistics on sheets of paper.    These kids need vitamins or oxygen, or antidepressants,  or something.  Poor kids.  My God.  Boring.

Okay, can someone please explain this to me? Are they complaining? The way the video is directed suggests that they are miserable – The music, their faces, the way they wrote everything on pieces of paper gives off a feeling of sadness.
I'm a student in the UK and imo that's fucking brilliant! Literally NONE of the things they wrote are unusual or bad and most are common sense. Frankly, I didn't see the point of the video.
Or are they finally realizing what life is? About time…

1:42 and 2:30. Those girls are cute. Anyway, I though it was funny with the whole "Including comic books and magazines I will read 20 books this year" I'm like 'THAT'S IT!? ARE YOU FKNG KIDDING ME? I read entire manga series in a day or 2 LOL!" "The best way to reach me is by cell phone." LOL…I had no clue lol. I thought I was going to see" 99% of us use the bathroom 3 – 4 times a day", "Bread and milk for breakfast is said to be delicious by 100%" ah, made me laugh, good video lmao.

Wow. $20,000 only paid for one semester at my university and I'm at my cheapest choice. I really wanted to go to Loyola but it was like $60,000 per year.

Actually, that depends. If you go to a public university with in-state status, then you'll typically pay around 10k/yr for school. Its once you go private or out-of-state that you get into the 30k/yr range. Since other countries don't have the concept of "out-of-state", most of their public universities charge approx. what you would see in an in-state univ.
