Be sure to sign up for pupils and school as we kick off the weekly USC Annenberg School of Conversation Study Seminar Collection with a presentation by Paolo Sigismondi, scientific assistant professor of Conversation at the USC Annenberg School for Conversation & Journalism. This investigate seminar is also sponsored by USC Annenberg’s Media, Economics & Entrepreneurship M2e initiative. His matter: “Interdisciplinary Ways in the Assessment of the Evolutions of the World-wide Mediascape: The Electronic Glocalization of Entertainment.”

His presentation will be based on his forthcoming e book, The Electronic Glocalization of Entertainment to be revealed by Springer Science + Small business Media in their series “The Economics of Info, Conversation, and Entertainment.”

From Dr. Sigismondi: “The e book explores the dynamics of global media and amusement, specifically analyzing the implications of the global rise of non-scripted amusement (as reality Television set programs) and the influence and penalties of the Info and Conversation Engineering (ICT) revolution on the articles, shipping and delivery platforms, and general organization versions of the media and amusement landscape. This perform illustrates that the paradigms are shifting, introducing the electronic ‘glocalization’ of amusement, as a result of which profitable media crossing countrywide and cultural borders incorporate both of those global and neighborhood options, taking edge of available options furnished by electronic engineering.”
