14 Mar Barefoot Managing Research at UNH
Runners are progressively ditching their sneakers for the stylish and controversial practice of barefoot functioning. But will it make them faster? That’s what UNH training science professor Tim Quinn, assisted by graduate pupil Corie Mae Callaluca and undergraduate Neil Baroody, is attempting to discover. The scientists are placing aggressive runners, shod and barefoot, by their paces to establish no matter if shedding sneakers enhances functioning financial state, the amount of power utilised at a given tempo, and, ultimately, overall performance.
