Over the recent years, the number of candidates interested in joining Pakistan Navy. Unfortunately, many people do not know the procedure of joining the Navy. One thing about the navy is that the officers sacrifice their lives for the nation and their families. You can join the force in three stages namely after matric, intermediate and graduation. To understand how to join the navy after matric, read through the following information highlighted below.
In normal situations, after matric candidates join the force as sailors. Soon after a series of training sessions which goes up to two years, the candidates are now delegated to various posts such as PN Cadet for Permanent Commission. Recruitment of the after matric candidates is announced twice a year. After matric candidates can apply different stages of their lives. That is, they apply whenever they feel. This means that, there is a little or no concern for the age of the candidate.
There are various branches candidates can join after the training session. They can join the Pak Navy as a supply officers in the SSC department. Other branches include the medical, education and marine engineering.
- The candidates must be citizens of Pakistan.
- The minimum age is 16 years whereas the maximum is 35 years.
- The standard height for the candidates is 5′ 4″.
- The candidate must be unmarried.
The admission process
All after matric candidates are required to collect application forms from the naval administrative centers. The duration for application is always given. This implies that they are supposed to fill the form and return it to the administrative offices within the given time. You will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee.
The candidates are called upon for initial admission test. They are given a sitting exam which goes for 2½ hours. After this paper, the candidates are handed a 2-hour intelligence test. In case a candidate is shortlisted in an intelligent test, they are handed an academic test for the science group. All candidates shortlisted in the academic tests are finally given an arts group test.
Upon succeeding in the above tests, the candidates are subjected to a preliminary medical test. This is meant to ensure that the candidates are medically fit and up to the task. Candidates who has health problems are discontinued from the force.
All candidates who successively go through the medical test are now given a physical fitness test. This is a competitive test where unfit individuals are eliminated from the force. Activities include the running races among other sports.
Final decision on the selected candidates to join the navy is done by NHQ through the final interview.
