We live in such a time where these simple truths are as an epiphany. And even to me they are. I've been reading Napoleon Hill, and Jeff Olsen, and watching Jordan Peterson and Tim Robbins, pretty sure it's Tim……. Could be wrong. But yes! We crave responsibility and can't get out of our own way to achieve it!

Responsibly isn't a valid reason for life, while structure is important forcing a hierarchy just for validation is unsound and will only lead to resentment or apathy if all parties don't hold themselves to the same standard. Henderson should read/understand We by Zamyatin before he spouts such nonsense.

It is inaccurate to argue that women know what they want. The reason why it looks this way is because, as Peterson points out, oftentimes women are taught to look for their identity outside of themselves, like in a child or a partner. The purpose of their lives is determined through the adoption of someone else's responsibility, whereas men aren't expected to find their meaning in others; on the contrary, they're expected to provide meaning to those women. Both people suffer as a result. Men suffer because they're given the extra responsibility of giving someone else's life meaning and women suffer because they don't know who they are without the structure of other people. However, the main point I want to make is that women "knowing what they want" is an illusion. Women, unlike men, are taught to forego their identities in order to assimilate to the expectations of those around them (which is why it's all women who end up on the "agreeable" end of the spectrum), which means that women actually know less about who they are and what they want than men. Not only do women need to overcome the hurdle of developing a sense of self, but once they do that, they would be in the exact position where most men are: searching for their meaning and how to take responsibility for themselves.

Women are doing better because life is significantly easier for them. Men are despised, women are worshiped. Men are made to feel worthless, women are led to feel and become entitled. The state of being agreeable or disagreeable is just a byproduct of the inherently aforementioned experiences.

We are operating in an environment we were not made for. This environment is treating us like a bad virus and is doing all it can to kill us. It attacks everything about us.

Talk about divide and concour. They made living with mum n dad uncool, yet its the coolest thing you could ever do. We live amongst strangers, thats plain stupid !

Seems like JP would be smart enough to not get duped by the mind-rot that is today's media….but I guess not. All the young men in my circle (family, neighbourhood, friends) are doing very well (entrepreneurs, programers, clinicians, bankers, etc.) and earning huge salaries. I don't know anyone who's 20-something is a "useless-low-class-peter pan".

Yes sure … 2020 and now this is recommended to me? What the hell Youtube?
… end of 2017 is exactly when I started to lose interest in my job . . . still doing it, but now I stay there almost until midnight doing all this meaningless tasks just so I feel I did something.
Anyway, thank you sir, I'm going to think about my life now and hopefully come up with reason why I should care.

I think women need to learn this as men have a raw deal at present and yes, men have some stuff to learn about women. I am surprised that 85% of viewers are male – but that's because I'm female – and actually I'm glad he has so many male viewers and I hope they find it helps them. I found this video a little bit scary and an eye-opener because I suspect that men suffer in silence and women don'[t know what to do what that.

  • Sean G
    Posted at 11:04h, 07 February

This speaker is unworthy of educated attention. Three reasons. One. Nothing he says is attributable or checkable; none of it qualifies as science that can be peer- reviewed and validated. He is passing opinion off as fact. Just like a charlatan. Two. He shouts and points and doesn't invite questions or open himself to requests for clarification. He simply assumes that his audience hears what he intends, and never takes the trouble to check our understanding. Three. The conclusion he intends us to draw, (men's universal and pitiful victimhood,) is already clear at the outset. He takes this conclusion as axiomatic before he begins to argue for it. This is rhetoric, not informed comment.

What he says is only part of the story.
What I found when confronted with the question of "What's the meaning of life?" is "Keep life going". Look at the history of life on earth. Even a billion years ago the single-cell life forms followed the same two fundamemntal rules of life: 1) procreate 2) evolve. (BTW to all creationists: stop being foolish kids and accept the true nature of gods universe). The same rules can be applied to modern society. Everything else follows – at least for me.

He keeps trying and succeeding to some extent, to shame men into destroying their perfectly happy lives in the name of getting a woman's approval; and working on her goals for the rest of his life, because of course there is no way to have a meaningful life unless you got a woman to take care of!!!
What I mean is that, his life will not be any "happier" in marriage and kids than if he is just working and living to do some other things, of course he always puts the example of some guy in a basement playing video games etc, but even that is ok if he chose it, why the hell not?? because a woman disapproves of it??

  • GGR TheMostGodless
    Posted at 11:04h, 07 February

Worst interpretation ever. So here we go:

Imagine how many YOUNG lives this fool has destroyed with this advice… these young fools will go out and leave their perfectly happy lives to try and please a woman!! Sure, make her dreams reality, and forget yours, seek her approval, it is only fine when she says it is.

This is what the armed forces do to YOUNG men during boot camp. And they come out "soldiers" or "marines" etc… the only difference is that in this case, you will serve a woman. I see these young men all the time, holding and carrying the woman's purse, standing there like fools.

    ========

"… to mature is to take on responsibility…a woman is looking for someone to pick up part of the load [her load, the man's load is always on him]… so he is all resentful and useless because she is calling him on his folly because he is just out there galavanting and useless when there are real problems to solve [so why is his responsibility to solve them, why not her? why can't she do it?… exactly!! Women want some MAN to solve THIER problems and take care of shit so she can sit around and take care of the kids SHE wants, she would not get with him if he told her HE doesn't want kids, it is a female imperative, the male imperative is just to fuck, no MAN fucks HOPING she gets pregnant]"

So take on all that responsibility for the sake of getting laid.

but what he means HERE is that you need to take on the keeping and supporting of a woman, but women have changed a lot and want different things than they used to want and do, yet men are still (like here) encourage to keep doing all they do and take on, for the sake of a woman, our responsibilities don't change in fact way MORE is expected from us, yet women have changed a lot. Just the phrase he uses "women will reject a man because…" is fucked up, men should start also to have standards and reject women who bring nothing but sex to a relationship. I know some of my friends who are married and the woman stays home, and basically does "house work" but mostly she is just watching TV or sitting around on the phone texting, no matter what time you go there, she is doing basically those two things… what I mean is that WHATEVER she does, it leaves a LOTTTTTT of free time for her to just do nothing.
