Advanced planning is advanced thinking, be a prophet if possible, airports must open as much as possible, let the natural lights get though inside the terminals walkways, to save energy, roof must be smooth no big beams on top, let the strong winds slides smoothly a curve structures is winds resistant compare to square one , safety is the most important to avoid severe damage to the building during strong typhoons for which the philippines prone to this natural disaster.

I think they must prioritize also for the waiting area because u know its hard to wait in uncomfortable place.. so were hoping for the advance tech or creativity for this new project. Im hoping they will make a waiting area comfortable and also area that we can stay safe and talk with each other and also please put more fastfood chains and please focus also on the restrooms make it big clean and classy like the other airport around the world..and lastly they must put some attraction that philippine airport could only had i mean like signature filipino design or philippine atrraction that all foreigners and locals can say WOW PHILIPPINES and i think TOURISM must seen first in the philippine airport before tourist exploring other places in the Philippines hope u get my point here lets start TOURISM first in our airport oh my god im so excited and im hoping to see the islands at the airport roof top i imagining it with full of light philipine island shape so that we can fill see it above the sky before we landed at the ground wow thats cool i think and u can see the big WELCOME TO THE PHILLIPINES..hehe so many ideas that comes from my..thank u

Waste of money. I heard the Batangas int. Airport is approved already, put it there. Manila is wasted already and in fact the Batangas int. Is funded by private corporations, SMB i think. Put it there morrons. This manila project is for greedy politicians and businessmen. There putting establishments there esp. malls

i think filipinos are still confused as to why the current naia is not practical to keep. it is not the size of the terminals. it is not the number of terminals. it is not the design of the terminals. filipinos can build the largest airport terminals easily as we are able to build the largest malls in the world. the real problem with the current naia is the lack of land to expand the existing runways ( i believe there are only two- one of which is being used for domestic flights -so technically just one). there should be at least 3 runways plus enough extra land to build up to six. when i visited 4 years ago, our plane have to circle the area several times before we can land. on my departure, we have to wait an eternity before the plane can take off. there will never be any leader that will have the political will to invoke eminent domain and displace the vast existing communities that locked the airport property.

I wonder if the architect has gone to and observed just a handful of airport like, Singapore, Inchon, Charles de Gaul, Fiumicino, Sukarno-Hata, Schippol to claim his design as World's Best Airport
Complex!   A hangar for only 1 plane!  How is Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 connected?  A skybridge? a tunnel?  The 2 terminals can accommodate only a handful of planes!  How preposterous!  If NAIA 1, 2. 3. and 4 (the domestic terminal) cannot handle the growing number of passengers, how can the 2 terminals handle that?  Airports need conveyors in buildings, skybridge with conveyors to connect terminals, if not use skytrains.  Changgi airport is an example of environment friendliness with gardens and waterfalls inside the terminals.  An example of how bad the restrooms in Philippine airports are:  At NAIA 2 the men's restroom has 3 stalls with toilet bowls, and 2 urinals!  And with the 3 basins to wash the hands, the space is so cramped!  How STUPID a design for all the hundreds of passengers!  Whoever designed that should be hanged!   Look at NAIA 1, the janitor instead of cleaning the floors of the toilets and surrounding areas is there to hand the paper towel to passengers who use the restroom.  Supply infra-red automatic hand dryers, faucets, and liquid soap dispensers!  In short, the design has to be practical.  What is the use of fanciful roofs if they are hard to repair when it rains and the roof leaks?  Practicality, ease of transfer, great possibility for expansion are the main factors, with beauty and environment as added bonus are what makes an airport the best.

OMG!!! I am a "wanna b" architect and I really believe I can do a much better design than this one. This is so stupidly designed that a monkey will be insulted if its designed is compared with this one.

Cool designs. However it is not practical. Function first before design. I also don't see much of the Filipino culture embedded to the design. It looks more of a combination of designs abroad molded into one.
