ICT MS ORIENTATION PART 5: UNIVERSITY RESOURCES TO KNOW
Slide 1: We have touched on the ICT Master’s Program specifics, as well as ways to make the most out of your master’s degree experience, so now let’s go over resources to know in case you have questions or need to resolve a problem.
Slide 2: First and foremost are the two financial resources you will want to contact. It’s important to note that academic units do NOT process financial records for student privacy reasons; therefore, please refer to either of the following should you have a specific financial question.
Regarding financial aid, your FAFSA status, accepting awards, etc., contact the Office of Financial Aid (https://www.uky.edu/financialaid/).
For tuition and student account information, contact Student Account Services (https://www.uky.edu/studentaccount/contact-us).
If you have technical issues with your computer, Canvas, UKY email account, or need to reset your LinkBlue password, you should contact UK Information Technology Services or UK ITS. Their number is 859-218-HELP (4357).
To register for classes, check official grades, view your UK transcript, and access online student services, you will need to use the myUK portal and log in with your LinkBlue ID and password.
There may also come a time when you need assistance with academic issues or personal wellness issues. For personal issues, the UK Counseling Center has after hour support lines and other support for distance students at UK (http://www.uky.edu/counselingcenter/).
When it comes to academic assistance, the writing center makes available time slots for online appointments in order to review student essays and papers (https://wrd.as.uky.edu/writing-center).
For issues related to compliance with UK’s policies for student academic rights, students may contact the Academic Ombud (http://www.uky.edu/ombud/).
Please remember that you may also contact student affairs if you need help connecting to a particular university resource.
