21 Mar Stem Mobile Study: Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is a sickness linked with growing older that little by little destroys sharp central vision, earning it difficult to see faces, to study, or to travel. No therapy exists for the most typical, or “dry”, variety of the sickness. Mark Humayun, professor of ophthalmology & biomedical engineering at the Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California, not too long ago been given a CIRM Disease Crew Award to develop a stem mobile-based mostly therapy for Macular Degeneration. Collection: “California Institute for Regenerative Medication” [Health and fitness and Medication] [Exhibit ID: 22469]

@mbrombacher Thank you very much. In the UK where I live they're currently doing trials in moorfields eye hospital. They're doing it on macular degeneration and stargardt's, but I have a simular condition and I'm hoping they'll have something soon.
