What grades required so that i can be accepted in a scholarship program ?
i checked DAAD and all scholarships say " good grades / excellent grades " and so on without defining what do they mean by that like for example good grades means 80% ..> 90% and excellent means 90% … > 95% and outstanding means 95%>100%
i wish to know what grades are required to be accepted so i can prepare myself and if grades is not the main issue as other things i would be glad if its explained too , Thanks and i hope you reply 🙂

    Dear learningcod,
Sadly racism does exist no matter where you go in the world. But if you are an open-minded and tolerant person, who is interested to explore foreign cultures and adapt to new styles of living – be it the German way or any other on – you should be fine. Germany has a very diverse society with people from many different nations living here and we are proud of that.

    Best, your DAAD

@dormghost Don't listen to maxkolesne. Germany is a very multicultural country and the people are very nice and welcoming. I have some German friends so that's how I know this. I haven't been to Germany yet, but my friend wants me to visit her so maybe I'll go sooner rather than later? What degree are you planning to study?

@maxkolesne One more thing, I believe cursing is another way for people to argue about something when they cant think of a smart, tolerant and proper way of disagreeing with someone else's opinion. You might think its cool to utter those unmeaningful words, I think its just show how shallow and narrow a person's mind is. If you are not happy with my long replies, I'm sorry to have offended you, and you can still curse as much as you can. I wouldn't mind.

    Posted at 14:30h, 08 September

@maxkolesne As for ur first question/reply, I believe it is you yourself u should be asking. On the behalf if ur own people against mine. If u still cant get it, I pray that one day, Insya Allah u will.

  • dormghost
    Posted at 14:30h, 08 September

@maxkolesne What we demand is a little respect. Just because your country is way advanced than ours does not mean that u hv the authority to degrade and humiliate us. Nothing to offer? I didnt force u to come, nor did I brag about my homeland, did I? If you could only see things my way, then u'll see ur own mistakes in confiding too much in ur own opinion 2 the point u've completely neglected other people's view and understanding.

  • dormghost
    Posted at 14:30h, 08 September

@maxkolesne Truly you've been blinded by your own ignorance and arrogance. How am I to destroy your place by imposing my own lifestyle onto myself and my fellow men, whilst not intending your people to practise the same things that we do? The western people came to our place and brought together all sorts of culture that are not coherent with the values, attitude, ethics and belief of our own, yet they can freely do whatever they want and we dont bother them as long as they dont bother us.

@maxkolesne People like you are the cause for all these misunderstanding of Islam. Judge me as a person, dont judge me because of my religion. If you come to my country, I can assure you most of my people wont even say those things you said to me. I dont think you know the meaning tolerance and understanding. The F word is a clear proof of your shallow and paranoid mind.

  • dormghost
    Posted at 14:30h, 08 September

@maxkolesne I think you are only being racist to me because I am a muslim. Have I ever said that I want to go to your country and invade it and force all your people to follow my religion and my lifestyle etc?? What if it was a Hindu, Buddhist or someone else who asked? Read my questions again. I had only ask not demand. I am not prejudice to anyone just because they have diferrent believe from that which i hold. German is one of the country I admire for its advancement in education, for one.

    Dear dormghost,
we do not know if the food is especially prepared by muslims. To be on the safe side you could ask the staff before buying anything in the mensa. The muslim community is one of many religious communities that have been part of Germany for ages. Germany is a very open and international country and if you yourself are open and up for new experiences as well, you will like it. Wearing a scarf at university or in public places is not prohibited.

One question though, are the food served for muslims prepared by muslims??
And are the muslim students (especially foreign) well received by the natives in Germany?
Is wearing scarf prohibited in educational institutes or public places??
I would appreciate any helpful answers.
