    I notice an issue in the beginning of the applied knowledge bit with the spider. In order for the the leg to kick and react, the neurons do have to carry the signal to the brain first. It just doesn't go through the prefrontal cortex immediately – rather it goes through what's called the "low road". But it does not go straight from the multicellular interneurons back to the leg without being at the brain first. Did anyone else notice this?

    Sponges don't have a nervous system. They belong to Kingdom Porifera and are stationary. So they don't exhibit any locomotion, so ultimately they have no nervous system.
