06 Sep Undergraduate Summer Research Conference

Biology major Kelly Hy ’11 and Dr. Alexis Nagengast, assistant professor of chemistry, talk about the 2010 Undergraduate Summer Research Conference.

While it isn’t uncommon for students and faculty to partner on summer research, the College of Arts and Sciences enhanced its summer research program this year with two new initiatives: weekly gatherings for all researchers and an end-of-the-summer research symposium.

Coordinated by Dr. Alexis Nagengast and Dr. Janice Krumm, with funding from Dean Matthew Poslusny, the additions to the Arts and Sciences Summer Research Program were well received by students and faculty alike.
