26 Mar University of Maryland Survival Guide
For new students, the University of Maryland can be quite overwhelming, especially for incoming freshmen. Compared to high school or community colleges, UMD is much, much bigger. It could take a couple weeks (not to say months) to get used to the large campus and heavy workload. For some students, this will be the first time living away from their parents, so they have to quickly settle down before the first day of classes start. For our final project, we want to create a video survival guide to help these newcomers overcome their first couple weeks at UMD and improve their academic performance by interviewing upperclassmen/women that will share their knowledge and experiences.
