04 Dec University of Minnesota Crookston Natural Resources Students Conduct Prescribed Burn
Under close supervision of faculty and staff of the University of Minnesota Crookston, students majoring in Natural Resources conducted a prescribed burn on Friday, August 25, 2017. These students learned procedure, safety measures, and best practices as part of this experiential learning opportunity. It’s the kind of learning experience for which the U of M Crookston is so well known. U of M Crookston’s environmental health and safety officer was also on hand.
U of M Crookston students majoring in Natural Resources may choose from several areas of emphasis including:
– Ecological Restoration
– Natural Resources Aviation
– Natural Resources Law Enforcement
– Natural Resources Management
– Park Management
– Water Resource Management
– Wildlife Management
Students may also choose to major in Environmental Sciences.
