I graduated from Full Sail back in 1998… biggest mistake of my life! and still is. People, when you graduate from Full Sail you will do Uber for the rest of your life. The education is way too expensive and you will never be going to pay back that money because all those jobs pay nothing! There are people with 5 years of experience and more applying for those same positions.

After Full Sail I took other courses like management and project management and those are the ones that paid my bills… not Full Sail. I still see guys graduating and working in PSAV…. really? Working 7 days a week at $10 an hour? In PSAV a person makes $13 an hour after 15 years! I worked there once recommended from Full Sail. 3 month later I went to an advertising agency and then to a TV station making $96K a year… I only knew After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Project Management and Marketing. The other guys that were editors only were making $2500 a month…. I was making $8K.

Do not waste your money there, the recruiters are trained to make you feel awesome and OVERQUALIFIED for you to sing in. Get a real education in a real university, trust me. I have friends working for big corporations and they graduated from serious institutes.

Hey man, my situation is similar to yours. I went to a 4-year college and then a community college right after. The only difference was that I served 5 years in the Army after I left community college. I'm super stoked to go to Full Sail in the fall. I'm ready to put the work in. Better yet, Uncle Sam is paying for my college this time around! I'd be interested to see where you are now. Hopefully all your hard work paid off!

I'm there now but I am an online student and mom so I do understand what you saying. This is something you really got to be passionate about when you first starting. I thought Full Sail would be a good fit for me because of the the Game Art program and Project Launch Box Program as well. I just liked the fact they help you out with the equipment even though it comes out of your tuition. I'm not sure where my journey will end but I hope it where I want to be. So far I am enjoying it I am on my 3rd course now.

I'm looking to attend that school, I'm not gonna lie I'm quite hesitant, the money is a lot and I keep hearing half negative and half positive things about this school. I would be going for video game design, is there anything you can tell me in regards to that field in the school? do people like it? is it worth it? I'm very dedicated and want to pursue my passion, however the negative things I keep hearing about this school make it hard for me to want to go there, however all those negative people are probably just people that weren't dedicated….. anyways please let me know what you think, and thank you!!

I did a month of a 2 year community college straight out of high school. I moved all the way across the country all alone and it was terrifying. I started having anxiety and panic attacks to the point where I got physically sick. I missed so much class that I was about to fail out. My mom flew out to see me, and decided I was done. I withdrew from all my classes and moved back home. This was about 6 months ago. My biggest problem was being away from home and not really making friends. My only friends were internet friends from England. So now, here I am. I've spent the past 6 months struggling with motivation and depression. I think its best for me to be with my family so I am thinking about Full Sail's online program. My biggest struggle in school was the daunting amount of time it would take to even get my community college degree before transferring to a 4 year school. Knowing how many years and classes I had ahead of me was terrifying. I did homeschooling so I know what its like to do an online school and I believe that is the best option for me. So with that I am thinking about doing the online video game design degree. I think my first step is going to be starting to do some freelance work online to get a decent amount of money saved. From there I plan on starting the degree program. I think the different classes each month schedule will be great for me. Knowing its a short class is so much easier than the stress of 3-4 month classes. I just want to say thank you so much for this information!

Hey bro, how is online classes like for music production? I’ve been trying to learn all this on my own and I’ve been thinking about doing full sail online.

I'm currently attending online classes here, but I'm thinking of dropping out. All the theory shit I'm hearing is honestly somewhat annoying me. I want to know how the business really is, but I feel that I'm missing out on stuff.

Similar story with me, except the reverse. I went to a 2 year college, ended up staying in there for about 2.5 years, working on my associate's. I didn't get my degree, I am 2 credits away, I do plan to return someday, but thing is I was pretty much thinking I passed, walked the stage and everything for my family, but eventually learned I had failed the one course that was required. Sad day, since the remaining credits I was going to complete over the summer.

So I thought, "Well, this is my second probation, it would be a year til I come back to finish (as I didn't want to lie on my second appeals letter, because really I had no excuse for failing), so what are my options?" I felt at that time if I didn't stay in school, I would not ever feel the desire to come back once "life" came in and made my daily routine too busy. So I decided to transfer to a 4 year, which is very similar to FSU as it is accelerated. I took game development there, which was close to where I lived and woudn't be too expensive tuition-wise. The reason I am still not there is they decided that my area no longer had a demand for game development graduates so my school decided to "teach out" the current enrolled students, and the professors tenures were only going to last maybe 9 months-2 years tops. Any class failed, you weren't in the program anymore. You can see where I'm going here.

Honestly, my advice, like in the video: Don't be afraid to wait it out, to get your shit together, so that way you don't end up pulling out so many loans that you're no longer able to take out Stanfords (like me). Your life may get a bit busy if you do take a break, but if you are serious about furthering your education I think you'll find the motivation to try to go back and pursue your dreams.

I'm only in middle school and I'm from SC but living in NC. I wanted to go to a college in SC because I've lived there for 11 and a half years and I thought going there would be great and stuff. But I want to go to a school like this and now I'm want to go to FL to go to this school.

Is the school good beside all those other points that don’t have anything to do with the school that’s the same for any school if a person is lazy or wants to party at college of course this won’t work but besides that is the school a good school is there opportunity

One MASSIVE Con that you missed is that Full Sail University is NOT a regionally accredited university. They are a commercial, for-profit college. This means that, if you have dreams of one day going on to further your education in an MFA program at one of the top film schools in the country, like USC, UCLA, AFI, etc., those schools WILL NOT accept your Full Sail University credits. This means that you will have to go back and start all over again in a legitimate school.
