Ten Dominican higher education college students traveled to participate in the to start with version of the Worldwide Dominican Educational Exchange Application from November 11-16, 2013 at Yale University.
The Worldwide Dominican Educational Exchange plan, a venture of the Worldwide Foundation for Democracy and Progress (GFDD) and its sister corporation in the Dominican Republic, Fundación Worldwide Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), through their plan InteRDom Internships in the Dominican Republic, aims to introduce Dominican college students to the American type of liberal arts education and learning and encourage dialogue concerning Dominican college students and their Dominican-American counterparts attending these institutions, therefore encouraging and inspiring partnership and entrepreneurship initiatives which will foster innovation and stimulate Dominican economic advancement and intercontinental knowing. The action at Yale University was also supported by the Dominican Ministry of Greater Schooling in Science and Engineering.
The taking part college students are a varied team who examine a extensive array of topics, which includes economics, psychology, legislation, medicine, advertising and marketing, chemistry, at both of those community and private universities in the Dominican Republic: the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Pontifica Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Iberoamerican University (UNIBE) and the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC).
