10 Oct Center for Professional Education: Interpreter Program Costs
In this video, we answer questions regarding interpreter program costs:
– How much does the program cost?
– Do you offer scholarships or loans?
– Do you offer a payment plan?
Michael Loughnane: Hi. I’m doctor Michael Loughnane. I’m the program director of the interpreter training program at Boston University. Thanks for your interest in the program there are common questions that we hear all the time and I’d like to answer a few them on this video.
The total cost of this program is between four and six thousand dollars depending on which specialization classes you take. So its not very much money considering that you are learning a career. If you were to
compare this to a degree program it’s really very inexpensive.
No this program does not offer any scholarships. As to loans, we are not a degree program and so we can’t offer any federally sponsored loans. You would be eligible for Sallie Mae loan privately. You don’t pay for these classes all at once. you pay for each class has it comes up. You pay for each class as it comes up before you take it. So the payment are spread over time.
